Sometimes a "no" is a good thing...

“When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goals, adjust the action steps”. – Confucius

This is a perfect quote for my Reiki journey and my goal to one day have my own Reiki, brick-and-mortar space. Well, moving to Yuma helped me adjust my action steps! As I soon learned, the City of Yuma will not give business licenses for Reiki businesses unless they are in a commercial space…so, that was a big “no” to my having a Reiki business in my home.

When I first moved to Yuma, my sister introduced me to historic, downtown Yuma. Driving around this beautiful area I saw the Gandolfo Building on 1st Ave. I have a passion for historic buildings, so my immediate thought when I saw this building was “this is where I want my business located one day!” Fast forward a year, (and as luck would have it, shortly after the City of Yuma told me I needed a commercial space), a long-time tenant of the beautiful, Gandolfo Building decided they had outgrown their space and needed to move out to expand. Their good news was my dream come true!

This evening, a very sweet person helped me move into my new space IN the Gandolfo Building! And so...without further ado...this Thursday, September 22, 2022, on the day of the Fall Equinox, my Reiki space will be open for business and accepting appointments! And yes, I now have my City of Yuma business license. :)
